Floor Plan Refinement in Miami, FL

Architectural plan refinement in Miami is an interior designer's review of your floor plans before construction to improve layout, flow, storage, lighting, furniture placement and views. Jessica Neilas Design refines plans for luxury homes, penthouses and developments across Miami Beach, Bal Harbour and Coral Gables, preventing costly changes later. It leads naturally into concept development and construction drawings. Request a plan review.

Why Should an Interior Designer Review Architectural Plans?

Architects design the structure and envelope. Interior designers focus on how people will live inside it. When an interior designer reviews plans early, problems are solved on paper instead of on site, where changes cost far more.

Common issues caught during plan refinement include:

  • Furniture that will not fit the room or wall lengths

  • Awkward circulation and door swings

  • Missing or poorly placed storage

  • Lighting and outlet locations that do not match the layout

  • Kitchens and baths that look good but function poorly

  • Views and natural light not fully used

What Our Plan Refinement Service Includes

  • Detailed review of floor plans, sections and elevations

  • Furniture layouts tested at true scale

  • Recommendations for flow, sightlines and room proportions

  • Kitchen, bath, closet and millwork planning

  • Coordinated markups for your architect and builder

How the Process Works

  1. Review: Plans are studied alongside your lifestyle goals from an interior design consultation.

  2. Analyze: Layouts are tested with furniture, circulation and light.

  3. Recommend: Clear markups and options are shared with you and your architect.

  4. Visualize: Key spaces can be shown in hi-res 3D renderings.

  5. Finalize: Approved refinements carry into construction documents.
